Kana Academy run a school, in rural and
suburban areas of Ethiopia where there is
no early-years or primary education
available. With offering disadvantaged
children robust education early on there
is hope for them for a better life,
not just for them but also for their
families, their community and ultimately
the county. Kana school has already
built 2 blocks, serving over 300childern.

Continuous financial support is required to keep these school open, and to build 12 more classrooms
to accommodate 480 new students who never had the chance to go to school before
besides to build an office, more toilets,a laboratory,a library and permanent water supply once financial support are available.

The problem with water: Although we drilled for water on the school land, we didn't
find any. We are currently looking at options, including an eventual provision from the suburban water system,
or the possibility of rain water harvesting. In the meantime,
we are providing water by collection by donkey and cart from pumps in suburban.

It is important to educate our childern, although very challenge as over half of the
population is under 16 and many inhabit rural areas of the country, for they will grow
to become responsible citizens of their society. Each child represents a future, the future
of the community, of the  country, and indeed the future of the whole world.
All support  for  Kana  Academy contributes to an affordable and sustainable academic institution.
